Milano in Bianco e Nero con la Ricoh GR III
Sabato mattina, cielo terso e una Milano viva di contrasti. Mi ritrovo con la Ricoh GR III tra le mani, prestatami da Alessandro di Dreamscape. Una giornata libera dal set, una macchina fotografica tascabile, e un istinto che mi spinge a uscire a fotografare. Il risultato? Un flusso spontaneo di immagini in bianco e nero, raccolte durante una camminata silenziosa nel cuore della città.
La compagna perfetta per la street photography - La Ricoh GR III è una di quelle macchine che sparisce nella mano ma resta viva nell’occhio. Piccola, discreta, praticamente invisibile. Ideale per la street photography. Il corpo è così compatto che sembra fatta per fondersi con la città. Ti permette di essere veloce, invisibile, presente. E in strada, la velocità è tutto.
Quello che mi ha colpito subito è stata l’immediatezza: accensione rapida, autofocus reattivo, e un menù essenziale ma funzionale. Nessun fronzolo. Solo tu, la scena e l’istinto.
File nitidi, anima analogica - Nonostante il corpo minuscolo, la qualità dei file RAW è davvero sorprendente. Dettagli puliti, neri profondi, luci controllate. Ho scattato tutto in bianco e nero, lasciando che la città parlasse per contrasti e geometrie. La resa è intensa, quasi cinematografica. Non è pellicola, ma ci si avvicina.
Ogni fotografia racconta un frammento: un passante, un riflesso, un taglio di luce tra due palazzi. E la GR III, silenziosa, cattura tutto senza farsi notare.
Fotografare dal mio punto di vista - Nel vlog, tutto è girato in POV con la DJI Osmo Action 5. Lo spettatore vede ciò che vedo io. Ogni scatto è preceduto da quel breve momento di attesa, osservazione, intuizione. È il mio modo per raccontare la fotografia: non come una tecnica, ma come una presenza. Una danza invisibile tra la città e chi la osserva.

Black & White Streets of Milan with the Ricoh GR III
It’s a sunny Saturday morning in Milan. I’m off the film set for the day, and my friend Alessandro from Dreamscape hands me a Ricoh GR III. That’s all I need. A compact camera in my pocket, and an instinct that pushes me out into the streets. The result? A spontaneous stream of black and white images, captured while walking quietly through the city center.
The perfect street photography companion - The Ricoh GR III is the kind of camera that disappears in your hand, but stays sharp in your eye. Small, discreet, almost invisible. Ideal for street photography. Its compact body blends into the rhythm of the city. It allows you to move fast, unnoticed, fully present. And on the streets, speed is everything.
What struck me first was the immediacy: fast startup, snappy autofocus, and a minimal, functional menu. No distractions. Just you, the scene, and your instinct.
Sharp files, analog soul - Despite its size, the RAW files are stunning. Clean details, deep blacks, controlled highlights. I shot everything in black and white, letting the city speak in contrast and geometry. The results feel intense, almost cinematic. It’s not film, but it gets close.
Each photo captures a fragment: a passerby, a reflection, a slice of light between buildings. And the GR III, silently, grabs it all without drawing attention.
Shooting from my point of view - The vlog is entirely shot in POV using a DJI Osmo Action 5. You see exactly what I see. Each frame is preceded by that short pause, that observation, that intuition. That’s how I tell stories through photography: not as a technique, but as a presence. A quiet dance between the city and the eye that watches.
